What gets deleted

Your profile: name, date of birth, gender, country, avatar and bio.

1Delete it in the app

Open phizley, go to Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

2Delete it by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, email privacy@phizley.com from any address, with the mobile number your account is registered to.

We will send a verification code to that number before deleting anything. We cannot act on an unverified request, because doing so would let anyone delete anyone else's account.

Once verified, deletion completes within 30 days, and usually within a day.

3What gets deleted

Your profile: name, date of birth, gender, country, avatar and bio.

Your posts, stories, comments and captions.

Your messages and conversations.

Your device tokens, so notifications stop immediately.

Your identity verification status and its reference.

4What we have to keep, and why

Two things survive deletion. We would rather tell you now than have you discover it later.

Financial records — coin purchases, spending and host payouts are kept for eight years, because tax and accounting law requires it. They are tied to an account identifier rather than your profile, and are never used to contact you.

Safety records — reports, blocks and moderation decisions are kept for three years after closure. Deleting them would let a banned account return the same day, and would leave us unable to answer law enforcement about a past report.

5Before you delete

Unspent coins are forfeited. They cannot be refunded or moved to another account.

If you are a host, withdraw your cleared earnings first. We will try to pay out anything remaining, but withdrawing beforehand is far simpler.

Deletion cannot be undone. Signing up again with the same number creates a new, empty account.
