IN SHORT

Safety Center, summarised

You are anonymous by default: a username, never your real name, and your phone number is never shown to anyone.

Other users may never record you — doing so ends their account. phizley may record a call where safety or the law requires it, and tells you here rather than burying it.

Blocking is instant and silent. Every report is read by a person within 24 hours.

1You are anonymous by default

You choose a username, not your real name. Your phone number is never shown to anyone, and no other user can see it.

You decide what goes on your profile and who can see it. Nothing about your identity is published because you signed up.

No real name required — pick any username.
Your mobile number is never visible to other users.
No contacts access, so nobody finds you because they have your number.
Identity verification, if you complete it, shows others only a verified badge — never your documents or your selfie.
2You may not record. We may.

You may not record a call, screenshot it, or share someone's private content without their consent. Doing it ends the account, and threatening to do it counts the same.

phizley itself may monitor, review or record calls where that is necessary for safety, quality or legal compliance. We do not do it routinely — most calls are never recorded — but you should treat it as possible rather than assume otherwise.

Where a recording is made it is kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. Only the staff investigating the matter that prompted it can open it, and every access is written to an audit log. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

3Zero tolerance for abusive language

Text is checked automatically before it is ever sent or published — messages, captions, comments, display names and bios. Content that matches prohibited patterns is refused at the point of submission, not cleaned up afterwards.

The filter matches on a normalised form of the text, so spacing tricks and character substitutions are caught along with the plain spelling.

4Block instantly, report anything
Blocking takes effect immediately and does not wait for a review.
A blocked user cannot call you, message you, or see your profile.
They are never told that you blocked them.
Every profile, message and call has a report option.
Every report is read by a person within 24 hours.
Ending a call early never counts against you, and never costs you your standing.
5No personal information needed

You need a mobile number to sign in and a date of birth to prove you are over 18. That is the whole requirement.

We never ask for your address, your ID document, your bank details or your card. Purchases go through Apple or Google, who never share your payment details with us.

6Keep money inside the app

Never send money to another user directly, and never accept a request to pay outside phizley — not by UPI, not by wallet transfer, not by bank transfer. Asking for it is itself a breach of our rules.

Once money moves off the platform we cannot see it, cannot verify it happened, and cannot get it back. Every scam in this category starts with someone asking to take the payment somewhere else.

7Your safety comes before any call

You are never required to do anything you are not comfortable with. No rate, no tip and no amount of coins changes that.

End the call, block the user, report them. For anything urgent write to safety@phizley.com. For anything involving a minor write to support@phizley.com — those reports are the highest priority and are actioned ahead of everything else.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We can act on an account; we cannot send help.
